I should add there are valid reasons for not being able to leave the game open such as a family computer, its in the room and you can't sleep with it on, etc. Totally valid - but hardware life expectancy really isn't one of them. You're welcome to turn it off but I'd be curious unless you're turning off your PC every night, how much power you're actually saving. Running games doesn't really increase power to your PC since it already draws in X watts all the time
