Account transferring can be avoided by properly avoided by Logging out and refreshing the game using CTRL + R before login into any account. (I have experience merging account progress and messing up gemshop purchases, card levels and items in storage.)

As for rules? I don't think there is any rules that says you can't play on a friends account with permission.
