The refinery will produce salts on a cycle as long as you have the required materials in your chest when the timer hits 0. In order to increase the rank of a salt in the refinery, you have to let your power bar for the salt completely fill before refining.

To stay salt positive, follow this process. Make sure to grab the merit shop upgrades and always rank up Red and Green salts.

Yeah you've got bigger issues then, no offense.

1. Fix your prints (strive for skill efficiency and raw stats whenever needed for better sampling)
2. Print mats for bubbles and stamps
3. Upgrade bubbles and stamps
4. Do the clickers (orion and poppy), ez source of stats for a small chunk of your time. No reason to neglect these.

Yeah that's a huge issue for plenty of people. Pushing portals and worlds is super easy until you get completely stat-checked due to only having pushed portals and not done anything else. It's time to backtrack and working on everything else before you continue pushing. If you don't, you'll get damage-checked by Kruk anyway.

At this point that'll be up to you. Divinity until you unlock the most important Gods (check #lategame-chat-w5🌋-w6🌸 pins for a handy guide to all of these) is crucial and you'll eventually wanna get it done.

Pushing without stats is pointless and a waste of time, but you'll eventually want to sort yourself out as well. Because you're at an impasse where you're essentially precluded from pushing (either because no stats, or because of the importance of Divinity Jail), you could work on fixing each character's prints 1 by 1 while the rest remain on the Divinity altar.

If accuracy is your only struggle right now, try fixing your Blood Berserk's fish prints while you leave everyone else grinding Divinity so you can print the fish you need for the accuracy bubble.

Every refinery cycle (yours seems to be around 3 minutes) gives your salt meter power. You can click to refine (or leave auto-refine on) to turn power into salts. If you have auto-refine off, the power bar will eventually fill all the way to the max. If you refine while the power bar is maxed, that salt's rank will increase.

That's the gist of it, there's a lot more to keep in mind.
