Level all shinies to a point you can get within a couple days, and focus more time into more relevant ones

Breedability is also useful for WW crit due to one of its talents so that can be helpful to get lower levels of even if you have all pets unlocked, but that's not a priority just something to work on somewhat

So, way it's currently set up goes x10 silk each for turtles, blobs, geese, and the Dung Beetles. Penguins & Rabbits thrown in the middle to balance out the lack of silks and add an extra ~7m exp per character, then 3x silks per creature from frog to rabbit, 2x silks for the lobsters

how this works requires a bit of precontext of how the refinery works I'll give an example to clarify
With say Explosive Salts (second salt) the base material cost is 10/5/2 (horn/log/salt) at range 2 it is 2x that base, at 3 it's 5x and at 4 it'd be 8x, however the power/cycle (salt generation) is only 2/4/6x at those levels, so effectively your ratio of Redox (first salt) to explosive (second salt) would be
rank 1 - 2:1
Rank 2 - 2:1
Rank 3 - 2.5:1
Rank 4 - 2:667:1
effectively getting worse and worse as you rank your salt, that merit locks the ratio at 2:1 always

So basically u normally use however much of the previous salt to make the next one. That upgrade reduces it to 2 previous salt per 1 next salt made

for the specific example values, WITHOUT the merit the salt cost of refinery things uses the "Cost" multi column, with the merit the salt cost uses the "Power/Cycle" multi column, the material cost outside of salts uses the cost multi always

The power per cycle is how many of those salts are being output per cycle, and the next tier (if it's turned on) shows how many of those same salts it consumes per cycle. Just keep in mind that higher ranks consume more resources in general
