No you wanna keep the salts consumed per cycle lower than the power per cycle of the salt above. So if your red is outputting 6 per cycle you wouldn't want your oranges to consume more than that. Also never auto refine red or green salts cuz those are your bottlenecks and you want them to always be ranking up
