This recipe should be gotten as soon as the task of beating nightmare Kruk on all characters can be completed. Earlier recipes are for armor and weapons most of which gives mob respawn significantly improving kills per hour. Get these if you can afford to craft them.

there's a shop inside the collider to buy new stuff and it affects a bunch of different things. eventually you want boatloads of atoms daily because you can spend (lots of) atoms instead of (lots of) materials to upgrade your alchemy bubbles, for instance, and its actually easier to get 100000000000000 oak logs and convert them to atoms than it is to get 1000000 salts, or whatever the bubble actually costs

whenever you kill a skull monster there's a 50% chance the skull disappears and a 50% chance it hops to another alive enemy and upgrades. if you clear the whole field you for sure lose your skull prog. ideally you just keep hunting down big skulls without doing a full clear and its just coin flipping on the upgrades til you get to a lava one
