For ES, does killing the portal-monsters extend the duration of regular mobs respawning at all? After the portal is gone, mobs still respawn for awhile afterwards for me

If it’s just a fixed amount of time after the portal is gone, I’m thinking of actually spawning the portal far away from regular mobs and ignoring the portal-mobs so I can just farm kills for portal unlocks.
