If it's your first mage isn't it better to get shaman to start leveling alchemy? It's really important to level up to get access to more of the waters for crafting w3-w4 gear

You can combine the ribbon with one of the same level to upgrade it. If you put a higher level ribbon on it, the previous one is lost.
