yes when u kill crystal mobs it raises it and depending on which color crystal its a diff buff

every slot has its own success chance that goes down from top-left to bottom-right, and there's no restriction on power-levelling one slot outside of symbol success chance going down per level, same goes for the character slots too. First character has the highest chance, slot 2 is half % of slot 1.
