You can also do some basic math from portions

My dinner was some recipe I found off a website with calorie information
It had X servings and had X Calories per serving, I cut up dinner into those servings so I'm able to guess with pretty good accuracy how much dinner is. Breakfast is easy cause you just add up the materials from each package
Bread, Meat, Cheese, Egg, all pretty standard

:3 and Doner tells you the calories upon ordering the meal so that's easy as well

Fun fact : Donner Kebab fries are almost as many calories as the fucking main meal, shit is insane, I hate french fries so much

I feel so conflicted with my feelings sometimes. In my entire life, at least the part that I can remember, I’ve never had anyone I felt like I could rely on. In terms of companionship. Like sure my family provides for me but they don’t know or care to understand what it is about me that makes me so depressed. And for clarification I’m not saying this just because I haven’t tried to reach out to them. I have, multiple times, each time being told the same condescending and dismissive “We love you” type shit, then proceed to only care when my mental health takes a toll on my academic success. Therapy itself was never even about my mental health. I started going to therapy because I was doing bad in school and it was seen as a behavioral issue by my parents. Which isn’t technically wrong, but that isn’t the source of the issue, just a symptom of it. So with that context in mind I hope you understand that I don’t trust my family after years of rejection. In turn I also don’t trust the therapist I’ve been to over the years. I only recently started going to therapy for actual mental health issues and not behavioral ones. Say pumpkin if you actually read all this. Just checking because I feel like some of you don’t read these entire things and just give blanket advice. Anyway, my most recent therapist has felt to be the most reliable one. She treats me less like a problem to fix, and more like a person. Albeit she still doesn’t understand me all too well, but at least she’s trying. Therapy is a struggle for me since for around 7 years it’s been nothing but harmful. Now that I feel like I’ve exhausted my options with therapy and family, I’ve been trying to turn towards friends and sometimes strangers, like right now, for help. And I know they probably aren’t as qualified or have my best interest at heart but I just feel like the cards I’ve been dealt aren’t holding up to well. I feel like there has to be more out there. I don’t know what to expect really, but I just hope

That someday I can at least find a friend who’ll be a good person to be around. While I might be surround by family and earlier in my life friends, I feel like those relationships always felt superficial. I want something with meaning but really I guess that’s hard to come by.

Then we compare to "You", the metaphorical person with No Goal. You sit at home, play some video games, watch some YT, ect ect. You're actively doing? Fuck all. In the span of a week, the guy who's training to play a childrens game is doing more with his life then you.

What I'm trying to get across is that your goal doesn't have to be this world altering, society shattering piece of work that will blow the socks off of every person in a 50 mile radius, it just has to be something that makes YOU happy.

But in the end, every person NEEDS a goal, no matter what

I think I’ve explained in another post of mine that I’m not doing “fuck all”. While I do have no goal for myself I’m still expected to do something with my life. I don’t know if I’ve said this here specifically but I do know I’ve mention the idea of fear keeping me going. Im studying for a degree in environmental engineering. I also have a food safety associates. In reality if I wanted I could be making a good amount of money with what I have already. It’s not that I have no goals at all, they’re just not my own. The goals I have are set by the expectation society places. You’re expected to be a functioning and productive member of society. But nothing that I do has ever given me a sense of fulfillment.

Physical skills are incredibly challenging to master, especially if you haven't done any before. The reward of doing so is an amazing feeling and something I tell a lot of people with a Boredom issue to consider
