I didn't think eternity mode was any grindier than regular terraria. It was some of the most fun I've had though, actually forced me to learn the patterns instead of using cheese or defense stacking strats.
WoF and Moon Lord in particular were incredibly satisfying.

i just watch on how to defeat it and try to do the same but add in a twist to see if that works
what i usually do is
hels touch then river of knives than switch to blades of chaos
boc i do spartan rush and then move around a bit then spartan rage to do some damage than switch back to axe to do a hels touch and then boc to do tartarus rage and i usually die at this point
i havent unlocked other runic attack for the blades
