I mean... he has both sheepie and ram, so pig loses a big chunk of the new player perk... his autoloot might go away, and pig would protect that. But if it doesn't, he's really only gaining friend slots and boosts from pig, and the teleports which are really a luxury at low levels

Doot means all of them are active all the time. Also you can get some of their effects before unlocking them with doot I think
