I know the standard opinion is to never have red salts on auto, because you'll basically want those at the highest rank possible. But I'm about rank 39 and my orange salts are eating all my red salts daily, and it got me thinking: when I have auto-refine off, it caps at 1 million. But if I turn auto-refine on, will it have produced more than a million salt when I log back on the next day?

I'm a noob so take it with a grain of salt, but that is what I do overnight and I do end up with more red salts in the morning of course. That said in the long term that 1 extra rank up every night may just be better. Also, as a warning if you have panda, auto-mode does NOT give you the extra salt from the panda because of an oversight on the way power converts to salt and panda multiplies power rather than salt output.
