I didn't actually do the colosseums unless I was finishing the quest for it with high scores and whatnot, or when evolving my BB into the DB, so I had a lot built up over time. Plus the colosseums are an easy way to build up your Death Note for minibosses without waiting months for them to repopulate, or making items to cause their spawn.
