For a long time I was just logging in to collect my AFK gains, then logging out, not even playing.

Since the game has so much waiting, that's all you can do, sometimes.

Sigils are waiting endlessly. The wait for salts from the refinery. Waiting on the 3D printer to make the required resources to buy chips, or lab gems, or to upgrade the vials and bubbles. Waiting for the Equinox bar to fill. Waiting to reach certain skill levels, waiting to gain talent points to improve said talents. Waiting in the lab, making no progress otherwise, just to unlock all the chip slots. Waiting on the pedestal to unlock the many gods. Waiting on the ships to return to see if you found artifacts. Waiting for the crops to grow, to generate essence, to see what they found in the sneaking tower, to see if you finished another level of the rift. When all you can do is wait, or improve so you wait 'less', that's the game.

Part of the problem is how the game was made, it expects you to have built up previous skills and have a fair bit of daily resets before moving to the next world, since people stay on a world for a while waiting for the next one.

The way the game has changed though, you can mostly blitz through W1-3 with little to no regard, W4 for the most part and it slows down with W5 and full brake stops with W6. Most people who feel like they've hit a brick wall (myself included at the time) is because they've experienced post-nerfed W1~5 with barely any account age and almost nothing invested in old skills like Alchemy

I am a death bringer, I have Wraith Form enabled, I ma doing an estimated 55k (regular) bones per hour... But I think I must be doing something for not getting Charred Bone (Fragments).

Take off the giant prayer, cloudsave, and then turn the prayer back on. It's been buggy since W7P2 update.

It could take a bit of killing for the giants to start spawning, but they will. I had to kill for 40 minutes last reset with a 1 in 29 chance for giants before one spawned, but then they came in droves.
