I would put most of them into the first one and then a few into the others. I think on a few guides I heard like a 2 to 1 ratio basically? That might be outdated but the main point is you should have all of them leveling a little as you unlock them unless you wanna hard push unlocking caverns.

Don't worry too much about it though, there is a respec mechanic for it later if you think you messed it up.

There's some breakpoints based on total opals:
<100 Opals: 10 on all villagers and the rest on Explorer.

300+ with maxed Explorer: Use the blue conjuror talent Equal Spread and put an equal amount of opals across all villagers in increments of 10 opals.
300+ with maxed everyone: 10 opals on everyone and the rest on Bolaia.
