It's because Lava coded it to go to the nearest whole number. So from 0-49 it rounds down to zero, then from 50-99 it rounds up to 1x. From 100-149 it rounds down to 1x, and from 150-199 it rounds up to 2x.

There is an equinox upgrade that helps level ur liquids. Whe. Full it starts to level them up with excess liquid. Get that and cranium cook a ton. There is also a stamp I think that increases liquid cap and a couple of meals. U could exalt the stamp and get good ribbons for the meals. Also you can upgrade the cauldron for gems. After that its just a ton of cranium cooking

Also a bonus for it in the lab. Slows production but increases the cap. Think my cap is like 200k atm? Also, level up cauldron in the pay to win tab in alchemy
