Yes they continue to grow, but to reach the next tier it has to perform a roll check to see if it evolves. Each check is more difficult than the last.

In sailing I have more captains and ships than chests, does that mean I lose loot if I send each of them to separate islands that take 2 hours? Becuse I assume a chest can only contain one resource
