lab is just jail time until you have enough length really, theres a setup for all node prior to w6 in the w3-w4 pins
cooking is all about unlocking the spice from breeding and building up cooking speed. few of the meal are pretty strong for cooking speed as well as the bonus from 1 of hte yellow bubble. vman also really helps for that once you have like 800 total meal lvl.
