Jar production is different when the game is open vs closed. When open, it is almost impossible to make anything bigger than a T2 Jar (I say almost because with enough speed you can make T3's while active, it's just unfeasible currently to do that with anything but basic jars). If you close the game however, you can make higher tier jars.

If you produce, say 100 of a particular jar per hour, you can turn the game off for 10hrs to make a T4 jar.

The important thing to understand is crystals vs wormhole. The DR buff from wormhole is the strongest in the game, it's caveat is that it ONLY effects the wormhole mobs themselves. The DR buff from orb hits every mob on the map, including crystal mobs.

Bubo also functions off of crystal mobs, but not because it buffs DR, just from the sheer amount of crystal mobs it spawns.

Plus you get alchemy progress
