He does start out slow but he levels insanely fast compared to other villagers

Engineer gets schematics to boost his rate per level further also

Starts at 5, can go up to 15 per study level

And then there's jar collectibles to boost it more

You can skip the skilling caverns for now to save a bit of time, but 1 level in all the non skilling caves is a great first milestone

Skilling caverns just provide reduction in material requirements to hit other skilling cavern milestones

I feel like this worked for me, but YMMV. If you catch up your other villagers first and and focus hard on xp, you can kinda cheese that bonus xp to get to cave 14 quickly too. Just don't open the villager menu for the length of time it would take you to get to 14. I don't think the xp rates actually reflect the loss of slug bonus until you "check" your progress

I stayed on 12 for a few days intentionally and like tripled my xp per hour rate and jumped 13 and 14 in like a day of ignoring cave. Your xp needs tk be fairly high for this though

Not quite. The power of the salt should be equal or greater than the salt cost of the next tier of salt

Yeah basically if the material cost is close to or more than the previous salt, don't rank up. The 2nd page follows the same rule, except green salts are treated like red, so you always rank those up too

The refinery will produce salts on a cycle as long as you have the required materials in your chest when the timer hits 0. In order to increase the rank of a salt in the refinery, you have to let your power bar for the salt completely fill before refining.

To stay salt positive, follow this process. Make sure to grab the merit shop upgrades and always rank up Red and Green salts.

and there is a trick you probably know
if you have played games like warcraft 3 you would know that attacks have animations
and the actual hit damage triggers somewhere in mid-near beginning of the animation
if you attack, click on A or D to move just 1 pixel you can cancel animation
if you attack as soon as hits you move to cancel then attack again your attack speed will be so much more than simply auto attacking

When should I be resetting/renewing the Bell in the Hole?
At Engineering Level 11, you will unlock the 'Triple Tap Tinkle' schematic which gives a higher chance at +2 levels per ring with a new chance of +3 levels per ring. This is the first point at which it is recommended to do a Bell Reset.

With the release of C11-15, there are 2 new bonuses (extra rupie chance for C11 and double torch chance for C15), a new schematic ('All This Ringing in my Ears' at Engi 24), and Studies (5th villager Librarian) which provide massive bonus levels. Resetting the bell likely will become very important to RNG into proper bonuses from here on out.

For instance, Bell Study at level 10 provides 200 levels every 20 rings. This massive amount can trigger the 2x bonus from 'All This Ringing in my Ears' resulting in 400 levels for a single click. Even without triggering any other bonus, this results in an average 20.95 levels/ring -- compared to a good average of 1.8 levels/ring prior to C11-15 release. This potentially allows for massive Bell bonuses so long as you RNG procs into desired bonuses.

Why doesn’t the Bravery NPC want to talk to me? I did what he asked?
Bravery (acts like Fractal Island in W2) where afk time is ignored until you have accrued at least 1 full uninterrupted hour.
To get started on the quest, you must leave at least 1 character at the Bravery NPC, for the full hour uninterrupted in ONE afk claim.

Once you are progressing on Bravery, all subsequent time after the first hour is rounded down to nearest whole hour. So you ideally want to claim AFK time if you are just past an hour (2:03 rounds to 2 hrs) or alternatively wait a few minutes if you are just short an hour (wait 3 min if you are 4:57 to get full 5 hrs).
