this was fixed a while ago, so you can deposit all at once. i think the only stipulation now is if you're depositing a fat chunk, then just throw another one or two on afterwards to make sure everything calculated correctly

What happened to my 12M gmush kills on my VMan? Why do I have more/less maps unlocked on my VMan? Why do I suddenly have 2M kills on maps I've never even entered before on my VMan?
This is a byproduct and intended mechanic of having used the 'Speedrun' skill. VMan will immediately get all portals unlocked up to the furthest map you currently have unlocked by anyone other than the VMan (this is an easy way to get +1 count to every spirit lock in W6). If for some reason your VMan is the 1st and only one to open a portal, you will lose this portal as soon as you do a speedrun. As a result, VMan should never be used to actively push any portal as it can piggyback off anyone else's progress with 1 button.

Specifically, every associated mob's deathnote count for the VMan will be set to the bigger number between 2M and the portal requirement (currently only the last portal in W5 and 2nd half of W6). This means you will lose 10M from your gmush death note total while having every other W1-W5 mob set immediately to 2M.

as a shared town skill, i believe it works as follows:
a) if you are active, town skill is constantly going
b) if you are fully afk, 1st character you log in on will update town skills with appropriate amount of time you offline
you can tell this is the behavior since actions like spice spillage need to know how many spices can be collected. so ultimately, the answer to your question is it must be on your active character 24/7 if you are trying to push breedability/shiny speed. i will note, the vast majority of breedability/shiny leveling is done w/ BM/WW active so you should definitely have the star sign equipped and doubled if you are farming for that

Mushroom: Expect afk claim times in the 45 minute range for 30x DR, 2 hours for 20x, 3 hours for 12x (multiply these times by however many "bundles" of statues you want)

Golem: Expect afk claim times in the 6-8 hour range for 30x DR, 10-15 hours for 20x, 20+ for 12x

TL;DR - More DR equals shorter times to claim, more MK means more statues per claim (prio MK, don't use DR prayer).
