Star signs only matter for the active player
Most combat star signs will load properly and count for afk claims when you login with them
Some skill star signs need always be equipped while active (breeding, sneaking, farming, construction technically, i guess?)
Some skill star signs only need to be equipped when checking their skill (equip before entering town) (cooking, sailing) - these may not load properly if you have them equipped on someone afking in town (lab/div) so best to just enter the town with them already equipped

With infinite star signs, you always gain their effect (they have the infinity symbol). If you have a Star Sign Doubler lab chip then it will double the effects of the aligned star signs, otherwise aligning does nothing
