Yes, this is very typical. Up through Stormy North Island (lightning treasure), the sovereign odds are pretty bearable. Starting from Snow South (snowman treasure), the odds drop considerably (easy hundreds to tens of thousands times harder). You will need to get comfortable farming days/weeks on end at <0.05% find odds.

Dr is 14, Crystal chance I’ve no idea but here are my cards; have the Crystal star talent maxed and a decent amount put into Crystal stamps, orb level is 165

Orb DR works by giving you extra rolls on the loot table
Portal just gives straight DR which tends to be better for higher chance items

You can check crystal chance on IE/IT. make sure you farm up c.Chiz card to buff your shrine, if you've got ruby cards unlocked via rift, it's a very quick farm compared to anything else
Ideally you'd want a 1/100 chance or better to start with

2️⃣ Aim to keep the loot pile capacity greater than your ship count so you can claim two entire cycles at once without waste.
3️⃣ Mob respawn will help afk kills in W5.
4️⃣ Total all stats will slightly improve most things. Don't buy it if you don't have the star talent points to use it.

This recipe should be gotten as soon as the task of beating nightmare Kruk on all characters can be completed. Earlier recipes are for armor and weapons most of which gives mob respawn significantly improving kills per hour. Get these if you can afford to craft them.
