the piercing arrow takes care of every mole on the opposite side and magic arrow takes care of every mole behind you

if you know your guaranteed time, then it should really matter either way. one argument for faster checks is omni procs, more frequent checks = more chances of getting refinery (albeit at lower values), as well as sailing procs (2-4hours per character can fill up your loot pile)

argument for longer checks is you can have other characters doing other things and may be less of a mental load having to juggle 10 characters afk checks all at once
