Idk man, it's just skill issue at that point. I had like 10M before the last update and it got bumped to 40M with the onyx villager statues, now I'm at 66M with some more statue levels. Pretty much a bunch of stuff adding up, primarily villager xp from monuments. (including monument multis such as justice)

Otherwise iirc 10M was the average margin for pure F2P before the last update, now it got increased quite a lot.

How do I farm the Mushroom Cave?
There are three things to farm in this cavern, Opals and Cards from active farming and Villager Statues from afk.

Active farm on a Siegebreaker with plunder setup for cards and kills to push layers for Opals.
AFK with everyone else to farm Statues utilizing the guaranteed rare drop method. Idleon Toolbox has a calculator in their tools section or check this thread

TL;DR - More DR equals shorter times to claim, more MK means more statues per claim.
Expect afk claim times in the 6-8 hour range for 30x DR, 10-15 hours for 20x, 20+ for 12x

3 options:
-current meta: ES and SB are 9th and 10th - however, current value has fallen for these two as a result of pocket divinity and forge cap increases
-semi-future proofing: mage and archer as 9th and 10th - in order to maintain a balanced 3/3/3/1 split - this will allow you to have focused samples while not locking in elites/master classes until we have all information
-ultra-future proofing: leaving 9th and 10th as beginner - until we have more information on remaining 2 master classes, you simply utilize these 2 characters in jails while biding time until their release
