2️⃣ Aim to keep the loot pile capacity greater than your ship count so you can claim two entire cycles at once without waste.

yes and no. for purely killing kruk and getting into w6, chiz helm/chest are still good due to their misc bonuses. i wouldn't mass craft lustre gear as both luster and diabolical are merely slab pieces. the only lustre gear you want multiple of are boots which are used to make the skilling boots

w6 endless summoning will provide monument afk% which will speed up time. otherwise, just think of it as another jail where you gotta invest hours w/ more chars

Depends what else you have that needs doing. It's a jail just like divinity and lab. You can throw everyone in there until the 750 hour mark just to have a baseline of buffs for bravery but after that it depends.

if you are already in w6, you should be skipping both altogether as they are mere slab now. read above convo w/ hashireim. you can do all the other backtracking while staying in low gear

750 hours in bravery with 9 characters and no afk % bonuses will take you about 4 days or so. If you feel like you have no other urgent matters, you can throw them in there for a bit.
