With Pocket Divinity/Doot, why am I unable to gain Divinity XP/Points when I have Bear and Goat selected?
Bear and Goat do not have any beneficial overlap with respect to Lab/Divinity. Bear simply makes you 'active in the Lab mainframe' it does not make you actually 'connected to' Lab, which is what is required for Goat. Since you are not connected to Lab, the Goat Major Bonus does not trigger and you will not gain Divinity XP/Points from your current stance (excluding Tranqi which does not require active meditation).
TL:DR You need to actually be in Lab to gain Divinity Points, Bear doesn't count.
Note: This isn't to say you would never utilize both Bear and Goat at same time. The trio of Bear/Goat/Snake is the ideal combo for when you are doing resamples.

Crit is pretty much useless and you'll end up drowning in it eventually.

The only use for crits is if you're almost killing something but they survive with like a slither of hp and a crit would put you over the threshhold but at that point just go improve your dmg.

For the beginner class, in the skilling focus talent, it's recommended to MAX Sleepin on the job.

Once you have at least 100% Harp power, make sure that 'Adjust Strings' is off, then drag your mouse/finger across strings as if you are playing a harp to make 🎶

If you've got goat, no reason to stay on div altar since you can progress both at once (unless you're link locked). You'll need plenty of lab levels down the line

Its more of a failsafe for the alchemy water lab node. Once you get to point where you can start hourly clicking bubbles, you'll run through water very quickly - making it now beneficial to run the water node in lab. But if you utilize Bear in the pocket link rather than through a real link - you run the risk of constantly nuking your water supply and having to re-CC on bubo

No guide that I know of. If you're just starting out, stick to the first island until you have all 4 artifacts. Upgrade boats as you can, send boats to islands that are within 2-4 hour travel distance (if you can check 2-3 times a day, if only once, then 4-8 hours is fine)

Use IE/IT to check for upgrade breakpoints and see which islands are within optimal range
Unlock new boats/captain, make sure you scroll

Rare treasures won't be unlocked until sailing level 5

There's two parts to it, one is active, other is afk

Active for kills/cards, afk for statues, but afk relies on higher DR to reduce time to guarantee drops and MK to get more drops

SB active, everyone else afk

I also linked the specific cavern in the guide so you wouldn't have to search for it (unless discord is being fucky and didn't take you to that step)

But general advice is simply just keep everything roughly leveled and push notes via C, as you go further in hole and get more bonuses, everything will kind of even out and early progress won't matter too much

Well, two (three, i guess) parts to harp, with notes, strings, and letters. Kind of...annoyingly designed. I also linked the guide because I honestly don't remember what I did at that point. Laziness probably won and I just went DEFCCCC or something

But there are also engi schematics that may affect that and you didn't say what levels your letters are or what notes you had unlocked or any other portion except 4 letters, so hard to give advice

That seems mostly fine then. Once you unlock G, you'll use that to push other letter xp and you'll make use of the Domino Effect schematic and pluck/strum your G stings last

You can either go full G or half C/G until things catch up a bit more

Idk how you find it hard in that case. You can try improving alchemy/stamps/transfusion but getting everything to lvl 100 (enough to equip godshard tools) should be pretty smooth sailing.
