yes and no. because you have multiple ships you can always do a bit of everything while you are still growing. once you have a better understanding, you can focus your ships to 1 island to get a particular relic or spread them out to farm the materials as necessary. since you still ahve island to unlock, generally your best captain stat for now is speed (to help you reach the islands within the minimum sail time) - but as you progress, you'll want to shift to loot.

you can reset the value after any number of trades by reloading map.
so assume you have 100 materials - blob will want 20.
if you trade 2 times, you'll go down to 60. if you reload map and go back in - blob will now want 12.
knowing the value of the initial trade, you can extrapolate if there exists a situation where after x number of trades and y map resets, you find the 777

4️⃣ Allows you to connect to lab bonuses from slightly farther away which can reduce the number of characters needed in the lab. Note that the max distance between characters, which is called line width, doesn't increase.
5️⃣ Improves kills per hour in W4 but since you likely won't be pushing W4 portals for long this is relatively low priority.
6️⃣ Max level spice spillage triggers every time. They are lower priority since it takes a lot of star talent points and is likely to trigger several times in a row when checking multiple characters.
7️⃣ 3 crystal mobs per day is very little.
Unlocks the recipes for troll armor giving all stat% and the base for all further armor upgrades. It is great but require plenty of Nullo Salt. Don't buy it if you can't craft them.
