I'm currently trying to get 12m green mush kills with my mman for the vman quest as AFK, on the side I'm farming other W1 mobs with my other character actively. Now if I increase the deathnote on W1 mobs, will my mman get that multikill added to his afk gains or does it only matter how much I had when I STARTED AFKing?

If you are still hovering the <30m range, then I would say leave the game on over night while you sleep. Should wake up to W6. So as long as you 1shot moles.
