Sounds about right. Need to get a ton of MK and dmg on vman. Doing things like the w2/w3/w4/etc. multikill rings helps too. There's a vid of someone with 85 portal clears and they use a ton of tricks to maximize their run

I personally wouldn't worry about DR until you finish w5. W6 will be a brick wall as far as map progression, so you can go back and play catch up on everything. This is when focusing to increase your DR will be good cause then you'll go back and start farming bosses/drops/etc.
Having 5x DR means you're in a decent place, but I also have no idea what your sources of DR are.

I didn't have a "DR build" (card set / obols / anything) before w6 so I didn't have 5x DR lol.

That's likely a very very big no. Defense is insanely low (my bubo has 6k defense and still needs cupcake foods to keep at 100%) The other thing you need is at minimum 5B min damage. The reason for this is because of the way chemical warfare talent works with the flatulent spirit. If you have managed to meek out 15% on the poison damage from chemical warfare and have that crit damage up to 2x, you can guarantee a one shot with 5B minimum damage.

Go on your DK, head to bored beans map and go ham with as much crystal spawn chance as possible.

Your target isn't kills/hr. It's crystal spawn chance.

I'm sure having multikill is helpful with this, but running active on your DK with this will be huge.

You should be aiming for 20k+ max HP to survive wurms. You can achieve this by stacking red pots and golden food (golden jam is best of them all for this). Snow suggested having your gas 1 shot - auras might be able to carry enough due to so many wurm spawns, but you'll need a high aura lvl for this to be effective. You'll need to test between citringes and wurms. I wouldn't bother with wurms until you're 200+ tent

If you get your HP above 20k+ then you can consider wurms. You should just run some CCs on citringes vs. wurms (like 5-10 ea so you can avg) and see what gives better time

Skilling has always been a prio. If you rushed to w6, then it's time to go back and catch up on everything else. Rift unlocks skill mastery which is huge.

I think I rushed but in a very slow manner. I stopped pushing W5 once I got to around moltis then worked on my divinities/lab grind, slapped some toons into an all out Skilling spree, then managed to obliterate kruk on my bubo, with like... Less than five minutes of battle time. I don't think it was an insta kill, but it was definitely not a 2 hour drag.

Breeding was absolutely molasses level slow... Just recently unlocked shiny breeding about 1.5 weeks ago and have been farming infinite star signs once I got a few levels in the gmush shiny.

Oh, and squeaked out a 200 round arena win.

Yeah you didn't rush like the main meta of ES/DK, but pretty much anyone who wasn't in w5 before w6 launch will be "rushed" compared to the oldies (I was only w4 by the time w6 launched).

But yeah, I have skill mastery unlocked and mining/chopping are at ~600 total levels while fishing/catching are just shy of 500. The only other low level skill is for cooking, with about 21 levels short of the 300 bonus.

Idk if there's "pre-W6" essentials. It's just doing a lot of catch up. Most people don't recommend pushing W6 until you have decent dmg for MK tiers because the portal counts are huge

And you need multiple chars to unlock locked portals on certain maps.

Sounds like you're in a good spot. After I unlocked Kruk (still hav Bagurnot opened yet), I moved all my goat people to omni for extra sailing/gaming/breeding/3d print/refinery procs. That helped me through the early w6 drought of just everything being a slog imo. My bubo is permanently back in the lab for lv2100 grind though. So after next week's resample runs he'll be on goat pushing div for me (and all my alts as they wrap up skydog lock too)

The far left one (up branch). You should pump that until you have any red wins.

The strat now that you have red is to not spawn stuff (you have a few deck swaps for free by this point) until you're really low on HP. Ideally 1 hp left but that's not always easy and your summ HP changes based on the color of the battle (so cyan you get the most HP, white you get the least summ HP). You let your HP get super low then SPAM everything.
Ideally your first hand will have like a bloomie + sparkie in it to start up mana gen and the sparkie to help clear the waves. Then just constant spam. Spike should help carry you a ton of waves since your dmg will be significantly higher with 1 summ HP

This is why you focus on the essence gen/summ lvl until you get some wins of that color under your belt.

You can still get away with spamming a lane, but since your HP is low you'll most likely just be spamming everywhere and hoping sparkie/spikes nuke everything. Regalis starts to be super powerful when it can sit back and pump basic slimes as you get your RNG sparkies to clear stuff.
