the easiest way to explain it is like this:

the trade offered is always based on 20% of your current stash of the material (there's a minimum it goes to based on your 1st ship's loot value)
what the sheet does is to see if you make a trade, lower your total amount -> if the new total would get you closer to the required value

so 1st trade is 20% - if you make trade and then refresh the map, the new trade is based on 20% of 80% of your original

you don't need to understand the full table - its there more as a guide (if you understand the math) - of a full list of values you can push out based on current trade

the thing you want to look at is the portion on the left - if a viable trade is found "early" enough in a chain

it tells you what you need to do

the table really is there for people who understand the math - its hard to follow it if you don't

i think its easier for most folks to do it a different way

Man, I went to law school for a reason. I don't understand 90% of the math that everyone here pumps out.

if you have a trade that is under 777 but close enough, what you can do is send your fleet to that island to collect

then you open 1 chest at a time, refresh map after each one and see if you can raise the trade to 777

its not a "reliable" way cause its wildly dependent on the chests you open

but its wayeasier for most folks to understand and attempt to go for teh ahievement
