If you want the prayer to do anything good, you need to accept the downside. Most of them are insignificant in their context. In its context midas is used on monsters you can one shot anyway and when you need the materials, not the kill count. So its curse is irrelevant as well. If you need the kill count, you unequip it.

Starting with a full bar wasn't a thing during the making of those guides. That's a feature that got added like 3-4 months ago (and it's technically a bug)
So you would need to test that

The only thing you want to base it off of is the max dmg on your player info - this is referred to as "sheet dmg". Ideally shooting for 30-35m max dmg (sheet dmg) will make the w5 boss fight pretty easy. You will also want to book your tab 4 talents.
If you haven't been booking any talents, you are missing a lot of DPS gains. If you send your IE I can take a look to see if there's any super easy gains for your ES

What higher world pets do give is the ability to use more than one of a trait in a battle lineup, in cases where subsequent examples are far apart.
