I'd still say this isn't better. If you don't use unending loot you get ~40 chests (depending on how many chest slugs you have) every time you're maxed out. With unending loot you end up with the ~19 or so chests and hoping that they are rerolling to higher tier chests.

If you do not have the lab node (or place the shrines on a non-town map), you can only level them up on that map

Think of the lab node and the artifact as two unique buffs.

With nothing - you must be in the same map to get effects OR provide exp.
With lab node only - you can get effects AND exp throughout that world (so place in w4 town, can be at clammies providing exp and effects).
With moai only - you can get effects NO MATTER WHERE, but only provide exp if you're in w4 town.
WIth both - you can get effects ANYWHERE, but only can pump exp into it via w4 maps still (due to lab node).

I didn't pay attention to statue count for w2 when I didn't have my DR set. I only focused on w1 statues since I needed to unlock onyx to begin with. I just went to sandy for dice lol. But I'm pretty sure I was getting over 300/day even in w2 (if I was actually there the full 24hrs).

EXP statue was my worst w2 statue and I just finished - I was probably getting 4.5-5k statues/day with 16.2x DR

I assume you're talking about last w6 bubble? If you aren't at royal egg map (which you prob aren't), then I wouldn't sweat it too bad. You'll get plenty of cauldron attempts by just CCing in general. I have 1k+ sitting in each cauldron to start w7 bubble attempts after I max out bubo's talents a it more

I don't think it's a guaranteed # to get a guaranteed upgrade. But yes with equinox dream it does eventually scale in your direction. I've gotten 3 upgrades since I unlocked equinox dream. I usually end up with 200+ nugget pulls (can check on IT) before I see any numbers even close to my upgrade. But do note that when I get my upgrades, they still fall in the bottom 10% of my "nugget range",

Make sure all your upgrades are maxed if you haven't already.

I don't buy any weapons or enhancements, just pick up upgrades off floor (push tiers first rather than stats as tiers will make higher tiers more likely to drop iirc). I buy RNGs for better crit chance tbh

It will still work but having it turned off acts as a fail safe in case you hit the setting by accident
