the way most people look at is is with the bonus from arctis, as that is the most useful one later on.
even though it says "max 15" that is not true, as the "big p" big bubble increases this "cap".
currently the meta for "div level target" early on is div level 155 with big p level 1409, where you get +17 talent levels from arctis, and later on the goal is div level 192-194 with big p level 1800-2350, where you get +18 talent level.
then there is the endgamers that is going for div level 245+ and big p 3500-6000, where arctis gives +19, but that takes months if not years of grinding

56 levels is little over 6 levels on average. you could probably grind that out real quick

For sailing, is there a "meta" way to be assigning ships to islands? I have had them distributed at least one to each island so I could get ship upgrade materials but I've seen some older guides saying to prioritize farther islands for gold to unlock more ships/captains, but if I do that then all the earlier ships stay stagnant.

i was told the other day:
-Speed is important on boats but don't ignore loot upgrades, especially on the first 4 boats.
-Most of your boats are way too fast for the islands they're going to. Unless you aim for certain artifacts or upgrade mats, just send them as far as they can reach to get some loot out of it.

take that as you will. i assigned everything to their furthest minimum time and it's been a lot more gold bars, helping me juice the first 4 boats

then that increased loot value has gotten me a lot more of the i1 fruit treasure for speed

Maybe that's the ticket. I guess I'll try that for a few days at least and see if it levels my first 4 ships a lot faster than I was leveling all ships

i've also been trading nearly all of my lightning/snowmen/toxic barrels for gold since i dont have boats that require those yet

idk if that's shortsighted or not tho

it is, at least, getting me a few boats closer to being fast enough to start clearing the next cloud in min time

every day im getting closer to clearing the cloud for fury relic

im hoping by the time i get to lvl 75 lab on my bubo i'll have that artifact, and he can come out the tube swinging his lvl 200 tenteyecle around

You should prob hoard bars for all boat/captain unlocks

I mean, def need some loot and speed on the first few boats. But shouldn't drop 20m bars on a loot upgrade if it's 20m bars to get a new boat

Maybe the last 2-3 boats are optional on that decision, but even getting boats you can't upgrade on speed farming the early islands for artifacts is a nice W. ANd I think having more boats = more loot pile even if you don't send the worthless boats out
