That delay is specifically because of the syringe skill. It requires a target, so if it gets queued while everything is dead, you get stuck waiting.

Honestly almost any setup will work if you are just going for the 300 achievement. Even if you go full whale above / below - you will cap out on production if you don’t collect often. Remember that the requirement goes up each time it finishes. So if you need a lot of spice, you will want to check often - this is why spice pillage is important in this case. So you dont run into trouble with the daily 100 cap

absolute best is probably tysons by some marginal amount, but pots is typically recommended so you can get glass shards for carry cap stamp (and sand for refinery doesn't hurt) or snelbies if you need to level you card

Alch, stamps, cards, starsigns, po box, equinox, meals, sailing artifacts, divinities, W1 owl, W2 kangaroo, dungeon flurbos, and levels/talents are all sources of damage
A bit of rng on sailing artifacts and companions, but most people can do it within a month on average

Boss level doesn't matter when farming for gems, normal is often recommended due to key efficiency

For DK damage

• Levels and talents will likely be your biggest gains, getting up to ~225 and booking talents (Tab 3/4 talents 1 and 2 and T3t6) will provide massive increases
• Equipping a third food item will be useful, you've got some golden kebabs that will provide a bit of an increase
• Pushing for another megafish could be useful, as in the time you'll probably level another bonus or two which might be accuracy/damage
• Getting more salt levels will also contribute to the damage you get from your refinery talent
• Cooking - can throw some more levels at turkey and possibly unlock Octoplop
• Tome - as you gain more levels, some more challenges will unlock and give you more points, boosting the damage gain
