typically for boss wave of 180+, once you get down to just the bosses, you swap builds so that you can kill it before the next wave fires off automatically

just remember 2 things if you really awnt to save on materials when close to atom threshold:

1. upgrading on an off-class for non-yellow bubbles will increase cost cost you won't benefit from the cost reduction of the color 15bubble.
2. then additionally, once you get to like 80-90% of the cost being 100M while on an off-class, you can deactivate the lab node that doubles vials to reduce the cost reduction bonus from barley brew to bump it up to the 100M. upgrade/atom a few times. then reactivate it to lower cost back close to 100M and upgrade until the bubble would cost 100M on the correct class.

if you don't have that luxury, its best to utilize talent resets whenever you need to sample

yes, you can do a similar thing with a 2 DK setup as well as for a 2 ES setup. designate one to be the talent holder for the account wide talents as you cannot double up on them, and then the other can use their talent points freely

once you get to a point wehre you ahve more talent points generally through levels and alchemy, this is less of an issue as you end up simply maxing everythign across the board but it is something you do until you can reach that point
