The only RNG in the pet fight is to make sure your shield blocks the enemies first attack, after that turn on full auto and walk away for 15-20 min

On auto, you'll target the closest enemy that's alive, which tends to be the crystals if you are (nearly) one shotting enemies

The xp bumps you get from crystals is probably more valuable right now than the few thousand portal kills you're missing per hour/day. Plus it'll help fix your damage so you won't have that problem soon enough anyways

IMPORTANT: have atom cost reduction when you're starting to produce atoms

1. loot capacity. sailing artifacts are main w5 progression
2. w5 skill xp. you'll be sitting on divinity for a while, and skill levels help so its good to get it started early
3. respawn. portals get huge in w5
4. boss armor. recommended to save 5 points in preparation for boss armor, that way you'll be able to unlock all the pieces without having to do additional tasks
5. tab4 talent points and star talent: you might be low on elite tab talent points and stats when you're new to w5 but there are other sources. you can prioritize these over boss armor if you're not confident in crafting later armor
