Its nearly identical gains as far as I can tell although my testing has only been on beans. More spread out maps or maps with higher mob counts like neyeptunes or wurms the mana box setup will likely be better as using more abilities makes it easier to get the map cleared quickly

Generally no, you will WANT that to happen because it gives the largest total number of chests

Using max numbers, loot pile is 30 plus 20 ships waiting = 40 chests after 2 roundtrips, or a max of 50 after 3 roundtrips. If you have your Chest Quality filter on Iron, almost guaranteed you'll get less than 50 after 3 roundtrips. Even 50 wood chests will give you, on average, better artifact chances and loot than ~20-30 irons would have.

The only time that filter becomes worthwhile is when you know you're going to be gone for a long time- say, 16+ hours. That should be enough roundtrips to guarantee your Loot Pile gets filled up with the max number of Iron Chests, plus then 20 ships waiting. The bonus micromanaging trick here is to set the filter BACK TO WOOD before claiming your loot pile. That will guarantee the waiting ships get to deliver their chests, regardless of quality.

Using the filter is a pain in the ass because you have to knowingly, intentionally set it ahead of time, and then also remember to remove it later 😵 If you're not carefully on top of it, it'll just bite you in the butt.

The idea is that active time is precious - you only have so much

Active Schow BB isn't a problem in itself but that's time you could be spending activing a better class (DK, Bubo - even ES/SB)

typically never for arti chance captains

you need the loot/speed% to get to the later islands within the next year

you're in kinda an akward position imo. You would benefit heabily from unlocking the later artifacts but fury really is that important

It’s weird cause unless sailing gets changed it’s probably the easiest skill in the game to be done. Like most skills you still need some of it active but sailing just kind of ends
