BM is very good for farming killroy skulls, compared to SB, as it does not chuck bombs off the screen, miss shots, or do anything stupid, such as homing arrows attacking dead bodies.

   BM is also very good, since it rules the TD world, one of the most tedious skills of the game, just like Breeding. BM is the only class in which it excels in a skill that it does not specialize in, which no other elite class can do.

The third reason is that BM, in terms of design, creativity, and it's unique abilities make it, by far, one of the most loved classes aesthetic wise! BM also helps you get through wave 200 in breeding, giving 2.00x DAMAGE!

Snake: Boosts overall skilling, good for getting skill exp quickly/leveling up quickly, good for sampling as well
Bear: Good for keeping your characters uploaded in lab, generally used for pushing worlds or letting that character level up in a different skill.
Nobisect: Great for pushing through monster maps, with its damage and multikill
Harriep: Best for printing, triples the samples you have
Flutterbis: Good for pearl collecting, which will boost other character's skill levels up to 30, resulting in better tools.
Purrmep: Recommended to be chosen on the 2nd ES's double link talent or Beast Master, good for advancing in sailing in gaming (ofc)
Omniphau: Gives you skill AFK time equal to the time your character has AFKed. Skill AFK time includes: Refinery, Breeding, Cooking, 3D printer, Sailing, and Gaming.
Badgur and Kattlekruk have no use as of now.

Good gods to use are Omniphau, Harriep, Goharut if you still need to grind Lab/Gods
And then some situational ones. Like Nobisect for your main SB farming Gmush/Eclipses, Your BB on Nobi for Zow/Chow/Schow or Snake for Ladles
One person is usually also on Purrmep. ES through second link, Vman or BM - But I believe ES is the most common user of Purrmep

And very weird setups like 7 People on Bear can be run when you for example start pushing W5 with all chars

it makes progressing through w5 (and presumably w6) great, because as soon as any one of your other characters opens up a map, you can speedrun and your vman instantly gets 2m kills for any opened maps

but aside from that yeah it's mostly just to keep from farming deathnote in speedruns

It's actually because Lava didn't make a separate portal type just for speedruns so speedrun shares normal portals, and when speedrun starts he resets al vman kills to 0 because that is what portas are tied to and doesn't remember which vman had, so re-unlocks portals based on the furthest another character has. Nothing to do with avoiding an exploit, just a classic case of lava being lazy(ier than he could be)

If you have the SB talent Unending lootpile, they will continue going out and having a chance of upgrading a chest in your lootpile (lootpile max size - 1). If you don't have it, each of your ships will stop at the dock with a box in their hold when your lootpile is full (lootpile max size + number of boats)
