keep going until you can hit everything in lab - then take a break from it so you can get general account buffs, which in turn will let you level lab faster when you need it (chip slots or skill mastery)

There’s a talent and a vial and a stamp that affect the shiny versions of critters. Can’t remember their names off top of my head so use the wiki. But just make sure to set your traps with your BM and have the talent as high as you can. Should help a lot. Also one of the traps has a very high shiny rate so use that trap when setting. Hope this helps.

Essentially you would mix and match depending on what you are doing (afk kills vs active DR type of stuff)

Although on someone without insta respawn mechanics youd want kattle top/legs
Bubo/ES would like the extra stats from magma (for more money and/or more dmg for wormhole push) but the DR can bring you to breakpoints.

Chows (1m kills) is enough for Cooking Efficiency. Schow only help with cooking speed (doesn't affect ladle gain)
