You aren't ready for Onyx farming if you haven't pushed W5 yet. As a benchmark, I'd suggest getting your statues to level ~100ish first, then aim for something like 12-15x DR before you start trying to farm stacks of 20k for Onyx

Honestly, Mudkip is awesome. Swampert has decent bulk, a huge attack stat, and only one weakness, which he can counter easily with ice punch. Definitely the best starter, hands down.
