Note: A skull can not spread if all enemies are dead
So Characters like DK that rely on enemies being all dead are really bad for this challenge. Same for ES if your Purple Bolt kills the whole map before respawning stuff

in terms of which ones, it doens have to be mages, use any that you have spare, consider rotating them sometime as you want a little level on all, and you need them all to have the one that gives div even when off alter

Should I do it active or passive; and who is best for active vs. passive? (I assume ES is best of these three for active...but if I need somoene to passive farm ghosts, who would I choose?)

It does depend on class, something like BB is technically better active, but it's the worst class to active as all others are better

Passively, mman prints the largest mob materials, SB and ES both get the most kills (depending on your account state) but SB is lower-value to have active and gets forge progress from afk multikills so he's typically on AFK duty.

IMPORTANT: have atom cost reduction when you're starting to produce atoms

1. loot capacity. sailing artifacts are main w5 progression
2. w5 skill xp. you'll be sitting on divinity for a while, and skill levels help so its good to get it started early
3. respawn. portals get huge in w5
4. boss armor. recommended to save 5 points in preparation for boss armor, that way you'll be able to unlock all the pieces without having to do additional tasks
5. tab4 talent points and star talent: you might be low on elite tab talent points and stats when you're new to w5 but there are other sources. you can prioritize these over boss armor if you're not confident in crafting later armor

Contract works 10x as hard to get a fraction of the momentum a doot account gets.
It's incredibly impressive, but it really is massively gameplay altering to have it or not have it, and it's a hurdle that cannot be overcome.
