The actual end result will be the same, but a lot of players push the squires close to the corner so that the "non-directional cogs" are all closer together, for easier comparison and removal when you get upgrades.

Yeah, you're good on SB damage as long as your plunderous mob talent is maxed (which makes them tougher to kill) and you're still one-shotting them.

ES can always potentially benefit from more damage, so it's worth taking a look for yourself if slotting in some damage cards is an improvement for you (Obviously still keeping the 2 crystal cards and 2 active xp cards)

As a heads-up, I think it's probably unlikely that going all the way to 20 with 0 encouragement is optimal.

You have a ~49% chance to reset before leveling up when you're at snail 18 with 0 encouragement
And a ~55% chance to reset before leveling up at snail 19 with 0 encouragement

It's not the end of the world to yolo it all the way, a lot of people did, but I suspect the optimal solution is probably still some encouragement in the 15-20 bracket.

Just as a heads-up, my solutions to snail RNG ignore personal risk tolerance because that's a subjective thing and high-level snail will always have terrible odds.

When I recommend an "optimal" way to play snail, I'm saying that, "if infinite people followed this guideline, the average outcome would be better than any other way of playing."

But some people in reality will have bad luck.

So it won't be the path everyone is comfortable taking, but should hopefully still provide some guidance to people.

The most effective way to grind for a high-tier plant is to dedicate some number of slots to holding your high-tier plants and using the rest to grow chem plants and do chem-loops. It's much faster than just letting time pass normally.

For the plant growth calculator you punch in:
How many slots have I got filled with plants I would be happy to see hit Tier X (that are currently at Tier X-1)?

So maybe I want a 6th tier cactus to appear, so I'm going to keep 10 of them on my board. So let's say I've got 10 5th tier cacti on my board, so I enter 10 as the number of plants.

Then you enter the rest as you'd expect (growth timer/evo chance).

The resulting time prediction is the average amount of gaming time that must pass for any 1 of those 10 plants (or whatever number you choose) to rank up to the tier you're fishing for.

The main order of priorities is just:

Make sure the first 15 bubbles (which represent W1-3) in every cauldron are higher level than the bubbles from slot 16+ (W4 and W5 bubbles).

Then make sure every other yellow bubble from 16+ is higher than Diamond chef.

Then work on making the other bubble 16+ in other cauldrons have a higher level than dchef.

It's just that the active slot is very powerful, so you might want to keep 1 character doing something important. But in general you want to get everyone to sit on the altar for a bit at the start of W5, asap.

Early on it's pretty slow but begins to ramp up.

At 20 encourage, ~42% chance to succeed before reset.

At 40 encourage, ~50% chance to succeed before reset.

At 80 encourage, ~58% chance to succeed before reset.

At 160 encourage, ~65% chance to succeed before reset.
