So funny thing. I asked about Salt production and Refinery levels early on. Someone said something along the lines of "get them to rank 3 for efficiency". I didn't know what they meant. So I just ranked all of my salts to 3. It took like a month to get them somewhat fixed. Holy crap was that hell though.

usually your first two ships will be fastest, so you just put double speed captains on them
also save some of your highest level sailing treasure to trade in for gold
other than that, you'll slowly get faster as you upgrade the different sailing speed buffs

Its fine to push the first few maps to be able to unlock the taskboard with 1 char while the others do div, but typically its not so good to push without multikill past that point. Its good to backtrack and work on previous worlds skills after that, like getting goat god and doing lab(also gets div gains)

You kinda have to calculate it as it's based on your talent/forge.
Dreadlo takes 41 minutes per bar and takes 1k ore per bar.
My forge can hold 32k bars so I need to do 32 cycles per afk claim. 32 x 41m = 1312 mins. I have the forge upgrade so 1312/1.5 = 874. I also have forge speed of 550, so 874/5.5 = 159 minutes to empty out
159 minutes is 9540 seconds
My SB talent gives me 4 seconds at a time 36% chance.
9540 / 0.36 = 26500. 26500/4 = 6625 kills to empty the forge
a 2 minute claim is 1/30 of an hour claim. So per hour, I need 6625 * 30 = 199k kills
my numbers might be slightly off here but the tldr is that it's incredibly easy to max out bar output in the forge with 2 min claims
