so when i just "check in" i go to my sailing dude first, he was probably doing a fight, so i switch him to skill build, check sailing. then as i rotate through checking other dudes, when they have sailing procs from gold hamster (we can revisit that in a sec if you have questions) then i go back to sailing guy and check again, till i get through all 10, then i go into active gaming mode

Just make sure your boats are going to the furthest Island they can individually

Then it will likely sort itself out.. There are a few of the early artifact that are good to focus on to make it easier though.

Late reply, but u need coin talent lvl. More lvl in coin (not flag) is coin buff duration when u kill plunder mob. Rift doesn't spawn crystal so u don't have crystal to help u get more coins. Therefore you only have 2% (4% w vman) plunder spawn chance per mob respawn

And when coin buff drops, ur flag counter does too
