IMPORTANT: have atom cost reduction when you're starting to produce atoms

1. loot capacity. sailing artifacts are main w5 progression
2. w5 skill xp. you'll be sitting on divinity for a while, and skill levels help so its good to get it started early
3. respawn. portals get huge in w5
4. boss armor. recommended to save 5 points in preparation for boss armor, that way you'll be able to unlock all the pieces without having to do additional tasks
5. tab4 talent points and star talent: you might be low on elite tab talent points and stats when you're new to w5 but there are other sources. you can prioritize these over boss armor if you're not confident in crafting later armor

easiest gains are probably from eff% gear and sorting out your afk%: cards, chips, snake etc im on 215% afk

Never use that blue talent. Never needed, it will kill your rotation.
To explain on Cactus/circs comments.
They need a target to be used once in queue. So if your blue talent comes up, but you have gas everywhere, you are stuck on the blue one, and won't auto rezz.

I'm trying to work towards something that'll be able to get to the higher waves.. I heard the Idleon guide spreadsheet's TD stuff is outdated, so.. Is there an overview of what I have to upgrade my towers to to reach certain waves somewhere, or is that same guide still valid?

Stalling for time is key, you're gonna need krakens. Lots of krakens.

The newest patch released an upgrade that can make your damage ramp up far higher than ever before. The meta has therefore shifted even further towards having many kraken towers, many speed-upgrade party towers, and some poison towers.

TD got easier, with the upgrade, so the old guides will still work if you meet their requirements. If you have the equinox upgrade, you can accomplish it at lower tower levels than those guides, probably.

so the asmartest thing you can do for most of the game is push to the latest world to unlock all the mechanics.

Currently there's no world 6 - pushing deep into world 5 isn't going to help you. feel free to do the frist few maps to finish the task board quest

what you want to be doing now is going back to worlds 1-4 and start working on the skills that these worlds provide. Push them to your limit. Alchemy is the most important but all are useful

What this will do is let you get stronger - once stronger you can push through w5 MUCH quicker (the last w5 map needs 10 million kills of a monster with 1.2 billion hp)
