It gives nuggets based on how long you didn't use it for

1 hr is nugget and then 2 nuggets in a single dig is 5 hrs 40 mins iirc

So on and so forth

The Shovel lets you dig for Golden Nuggets periodically, with each stored dig charge taking longer than the last. The first charge takes 1 hour, the second charge takes 2 hours, and it just gets worse from there. IdleOnEfficiency shows your charges, they are not visible anywhere in game. Clicking the shovel spends all charges and resets the timer to 0, effectively wasting any charges you were in the middle of.

The value of the Golden Nugget you dig up is a Bit multiplier and you always keep your highest roll. There is a HUGE base range (1 - 220 or so) and the system is very rigged against you - don't expect to break out of the bottom 10% of values without thousands of nugget attempts. Leveling up the Shovel will add a multiplier to the RANGE of nugget values. For example, if your shovel upgrade says "+50% big nugget luck", that really means your new nugget range is 50-11,000.

Unlocking Onyx-tier Statues
Onyx Statues were added in August 2023. By completing the first 2 quests from the Monolith NPC at late W4 Flombeige map, you can unlock this new tier.

Completing the first quest will require that you have a total level across all statues of 250+ and that you bring 17 unique statue types in your inventory. These 17 are not consumed.

Completing the second quest requires 20k Power Statues, which ARE consumed and upgrade your Power Statue to Onyx-tier during the quest. This quest gives you a set of Onyx Tools.

Just like the Golden Tools from W2 shop, take the Onyx Tools to the W1 statue man and drop it on the ground on him. After taking on this new form, you can now drop a stack of exactly 20k statues on the ground to upgrade that statue to Onyx-tier. Note: The 20k statues consumed for this process do NOT count as leveling up the statue unfortunately.

Regarding the "+10% more points when depositing any statue": This truly means any statue. If you have any 10 statues at Onyx-tier, depositing a single statue now gives +100% aka 2 points per. At max, there are 25 statue types in the game for a total of +250%, meaning 3.5 points per statue. This can then be increased by the Snakeskin vial to grant another x2, for a grand total of 7 points per statue 😲

and then as the image suggests, the statue bonus is simply 2x what it was at Gold

Do you have any tips on farming statues for onyx? I'm down to the last 4 I have to farm: Bullseye, Box, Seesaw and Twosoul.
I tried both DK and ES active farming with 14.64x DR. ES gets about 190-200 portal kills each time. But in the end, I only manage to get about 1k statues per day -.-

To compare them all to W1 statue grind..
W2 = 2x the duration w1 took
W4 = about 1.5 - 2x
W5 = about 2 - 2.5x
W3 = 2x per statue, 6x total

Then Bullseye took 4x characters 5x as long
Fishing statue took 1 character (Vman best) 4x as long

Some can be done at the same time of course, but your DK is looking at 7x whatever W1 took to active farm W2, W4, and W5, then your ES is 6x whatever W1 took to active farm just W3. W3 can be candied if you're impatient, but is about 10x slower so be prepared to dump 300+ hours each.

They're more consistent buffs. More speed = get to later islands quicker = late loot = bigger gold trades

The chest rarity and artifact chance ones would be alright if you managed to reach 60m speed without a speed captain and didn't already have all artifacts
