When w5 came out I actually stopped at 2 gods for a month or so in order to work on other things (levelling sklling, gathering resources, death note) but what you do will depend on what you do/dont have

Optimal is typically to unlock goat then send those characters back to lab to start fleshing out lab again

If you haven't got them yet, finding a way to get those lab gems (I did a lot of boss farming for gem drops back in w4) is a very good idea

you can't truly escape lab jail in some form without the use of doot. I tend to over abuse bear on 6 characters to have everyone out but it's not recommended

Yeah without the orange jewel that increases connection range unfortunately nothing you do in lab will ever cut down on the number of people in it. You'd need like all 10 on arctis to get every good bonus without the jewel

Am I just unlucky, or doing something wrong with gaming. I have been sitting on this screen for a week trying to unlock rest of the mutations with no plants mutating past what you see here. I even use log ~2 times per day to get extra gains but nothing is changing.

I know there are more evolutions, as one of the mushroom has upgraded past the others.

Mutation tab says they evolve up to 5 times, but most of the plants except that one mushroom has only mutated 3 times

Mutations take a long time so you need to maximize your garden speed which means you should have kitsune rock on

Also having a full garden trying to evolve actually takes longer than setting aside 5-7 plants to evolve and rotating the rest of them for chems because chems will speed everything up more than the log will

so my chopping doubled, wait no. I didn't even resample my mining when i did my chopping last. So it would be more like 3 months active playing and 4 months afk... i think it's time

or do what i do and kill everything, when you see a silver skull. Kill it and follow it, then kill it again

IMPORTANT: have atom cost reduction when you're starting to produce atoms

1. loot capacity. sailing artifacts are main w5 progression
2. w5 skill xp. you'll be sitting on divinity for a while, and skill levels help so its good to get it started early
3. respawn. portals get huge in w5
4. boss armor. recommended to save 5 points in preparation for boss armor, that way you'll be able to unlock all the pieces without having to do additional tasks
5. tab4 talent points and star talent: you might be low on elite tab talent points and stats when you're new to w5 but there are other sources. you can prioritize these over boss armor if you're not confident in crafting later armor

i'll mention that @dapper prism has a that shows how to do the fight on vman. it only gets easier with more dmg. i did it with around 120b dmg i believe
