there's a lot of ways to do it, but the way i did it was get 15 plants of the same type at least and then 5 chem/cactus plants and pick them to help speed up the process on the other 15 plants. then when you have gaming progress you just pick any plant that isn't a cactus or chem to keep that cycle going

I don't recall if the xp was additive or multi, most stuff is additive and therefore pretty bad.

With more sailing ships your loot pile fills up very quickly. Especially once you get gold hampters for the extra time skips (and/or the alch bubble, PO box).
PS: Since you check sailing often also be sure to NOT use SB talent 11.

yeh, ignore 99% of the game except afterlife. until you get through the breakpoint for money (the goose) use the wiki afterlife guide for step by step stuff. once you get that you'll basically have perma money for everything. And the rest dominos.
Only other 2-3 things to worry about along the way is pets/trekking and construction as it's pretty time gated.

IMPORTANT: have atom cost reduction when you're starting to produce atoms

1. loot capacity. sailing artifacts are main w5 progression
2. w5 skill xp. you'll be sitting on divinity for a while, and skill levels help so its good to get it started early
3. respawn. portals get huge in w5
4. boss armor. recommended to save 5 points in preparation for boss armor, that way you'll be able to unlock all the pieces without having to do additional tasks
5. tab4 talent points and star talent: you might be low on elite tab talent points and stats when you're new to w5 but there are other sources. you can prioritize these over boss armor if you're not confident in crafting later armor

I've noticed similar weird stuff happening with damage and first login on iOS. On logging into a character for the first time after syncing from steam, i have a high damage. If i change character and then go back though, the damage drops.

i havent really seen any, u just gotta make sure to try and stay at 2 hr travel time on all ur boats if you can help it. and focus on unlocking the islands + artifacts

also check your sailing very frequently since chests cap out fast
